A fully realised cinematic environment built around a remote woodland cabin at night, complete with Oscar seated on the porch with his lantern.
The exterior shot establishes the scene with a misty treeline, atmospheric moonlight and practicals glowing from the cabin windows. The porch sequence brings in close detail — weathered timber, chain-hung swing seat, split log stack and the warm spill of the lantern flame.
Rain and atmospheric FX were composited in After Effects using CC Rainfall, Fractal Noise for fog layering, and a linear EXR workflow from the Redshift batch render pipeline. All geometry, shading and lighting built from scratch in Maya.
