A full retexture and lookdev overhaul of the Bumblebee Transformers character model, built as a major pipeline project in Maya and Redshift.
The texturing work involved a complete material rebuild across four distinct surface types — painted yellow armour with directional paint chipping driven by wear logic, exposed chrome panels, bare scuffed metal on mechanical joints, and dark oily machinery elements in the lower body and joints. A narrative damage mark on the thigh adds character history without feeling accidental.
Beyond texturing, the gun arm was rebuilt with new geometry and materials. A hero landing pose was rigged and dressed with rubble scatter geometry to create a cinematic still frame. The full turntable is production-ready Redshift, rendered via command-line batch with a full AOV pass set and composited in After Effects.
